Men's and Women's Pro Development Teams

Our Mission
The Atletico New Mexico Men's and Women's Pro-development teams are an extension of the youth soccer club. These teams aim to bridge the gap between the local club soccer environment and a higher-level competition. Atletico New Mexico offers young local athletes a platform to showcase their abilities and take steps toward collegiate and/or professional careers.
About the Men's Team
The Atletico New Mexico UPSL team debuted in the Spring 2024 season. Participating in the West Texas/New Mexico Conference, the team hit the ground running. They reached the Conference Final in their first season!
By competing in the UPSL or the United Premier Soccer League (Men's 4th Division), the men's UPSL team consists of a Spring and Fall season that conclude with National Playoffs.
The UPSL was formed in 2011 and occupies the unofficial fourth tier of US Soccer. Across its Premier, Division 1, and Academy divisions, more than 500 teams are competing nationwide. The UPSL is now the largest Pro Development League in North America and is a National Affiliate member of the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF). Each UPSL team is individually owned and operated. UPSL teams are eligible to participate in the U.S. Open Cup Qualifying Rounds through the league’s affiliation with USSF.

About the Women's Team
Atletico New Mexico introduces a WPSL ll team set to begin their campaign in the 2025 summer season, beginning in June!
The Women's Premier Soccer League originally launched its second tier in 2021 with WPSL U21 fielding 39 teams in 13 states. Rosters consisted of current collegiate athletes and prep players.
Now, four seasons later, the WPSL is evolving HerGame again by introducing the reenvisioned second tier that will amplify the league's mission to establish a unified pathway that provides the highest level of developmental opportunities.
Summer 2025 will be the official relaunch of the tier under its new branding identity, WPSL Division II, the league's second division in its pathway pyramid. The WPSL Division II structure is geared toward an introduction into the WPSL's competition and standards while creating a true developmental pathway within the league's historic platform. Several founding second tier teams from the previous U21 seasons have made the jump into the WPSL's first division.
